The Bonnie Bonnie Banks
Shared By: Samantha Muir | My arrangement of this traditional Scottish tune for ukulele. Perhaps it’s my Scottish heritage but this is a favorite tune of mine. My family used to visit Loch Lomond when I was a kid so there is a touch of nostalgia.
I’m playing my Tanglewood soprano. The strings are actually guitar trebles. The 1st string was long enough to cut in half and use as the 1st and 4th on the uke. The reason for the guitar strings is that I am in Spain and left a nice new set of Living Water strings sitting on the table back in England 🙁 I bought a set of strings from a local music shop and they were so awful I decided to improvise….The guitar strings work ok but are a bit on the thick side.
Hope you enjoy this!
