Try This With The Kids

I have 2 kids. My son is 4 ½ and my daughter is 3. They love it when I play the Uke. Ok, they like it. Sometimes! So I started looking for ways to get them more interested.

A few weeks back I picked up the baritone Uke in the picture that had been partially sanded down but needed more work. It also had no brand name on it, so I got out the paints and I let the kids go nuts. Then I put on some new strings and was pleasantly surprised by it’s sound. Why not try this with your kids? There are plenty of old ukes around that you could track down,
